Where to live

Hi ho apartment hunting.  Saturday is a good day for such activities.

So far I've experienced the following thoughts (this list is by no means comprehensive)
-Too small.  Way too small.
-That's it for closet space?
-What is that stuck all over the burner on the stove?
-Wow, this guy is a slob.
- This apartment has more closet space than my current apartment has bedroom space.
-*gasping for air*  This building REEKS
-Um, I don't think so.
-I will break my neck lugging the laundry down those stairs.
-What, I have to lug my laundry to a laundromat?
-Geez, I hope that all of this furniture comes with the apartment.
-Geez, I hope none of this furniture comes with the apartment.
-Holy huge TV!
-No dishwasher.
-No dishwasher.
-No dishwasher.
-No dishwasher.
-I like it but__________
And then finally, we got to our last viewing of the day.  It's not huge but it's big enough.  There's sure a lot more space in the bedroom than we have now, the bathroom is pretty good sized, and it has enough closet space (you'd be surprised how few apartments do).  It has hardwood floors, and was the first apartment we've seen with a DISHWASHER (no, that's not the only reason I like it).  It's in a location that's nearly as ideal as the one we're in right now- it's probably about the same walk to the closest public transportation stop, close to the grocery store, and close to a pizza place we like too (not a requirement, but there's nothing wrong with that).  So we put it on hold (which basically means we called them and asked them not to let anyone else lease it for a couple of days).  We're going to squeeze as many more apartment viewings as we can in the meantime to make sure it's really what we want, but we figure that the good things go fast so we'd better jump on something sooner rather than later.  I'm excited.  Moving is a pain.  It will especially be a pain since we'll be the week before finals (but if we postponed it until the end of summer, we would be moving during finals week, so this is at least better than that).  But even with all that, I think I've said before that I really like going into a place a making it my own.  Plus a change of scene is always nice.
Besides apartment hunting, we're going to see the Phillies play the Cubs tonight.  Woo hoo!  Except who should we cheer for?
