Bargain Hunter

When we moved to this new apartment at the beginning of June, we got a nice little perk with it-- a free Sunday paper.  We haven't gotten the paper since we've been married because we just aren't willing to fork it out for a newspaper subscription when it's hard enough to pay all the other bills, so this has been a nice little treat.  Zack gets to read his paper, and I have found a new hobby.  The Sunday paper comes with a load of ads and coupons.  At first, I was just a coupon clipper.  It got kind of frustrating though because I didn't really know how or where to use those coupons.  By that, I mean that I would go to the store with my coupons to get something, and the generic would still be cheaper, so I would just end up buying that and throwing the coupons away.  So I went to the world of blogging to get some help and I am starting to get the hang of some things.  

This was my first real week of this, and I got some good deals.  I got a box of Poptarts for 22 cents, some free contact solution for Z, and a bunch of little school supplies free.  Pretty sweet. This week, I have some ambitious plans, including making $3 profit off some eyedrops, making a buck off some bodywash, getting a gallon of white milk and a half gallon of chocolate milk for $1.79 (for both of them), making $3 off a couple of medicines, getting some tape and lightbulbs for free, and making $2 off some more contact solution for Z.  I am quite excited about this, and am thrilled that I learned how to not just use my coupons, but to actually get stuff for more than free with them. Pretty awesome.
