Beach bums

And finally, to get all caught up on what we've been up to, last weekend was Memorial Day weekend, and I ended up with Memorial Day off. Tuesday is my regularly scheduled day off after I work weekends, so I got Monday and Tuesday off. We decided to take advantage of the holiday and the fabulous weather and reprise our trip to Atlantic City, but hit up the beach this time. And we did. We drove down there at around 10 AM on Memorial Day, and we didn't hit traffic even once, which I was surprised about. We enjoyed the day on the beach, checked into the same hotel we stayed in before, went to the spa at the hotel, and then did some more shopping at the outlets. We drove home Tuesday morning, which really worked out because we didn't hit any traffic again. Pretty much everyone else had to be back to work on Tuesday. So the timing really worked out for us.

but we had a blast. We had a nice hotel room again, and it had a fabulous ocean view. It was even better than the last room we stayed in because it was higher up. 2 Atlantic City trips in 2 weeks... pretty fun.

So, we've had a busy couple of weeks and we are still getting settled in our new place. It has taken some time with all that's been going on. We finally got some air conditioners this week, which is great because it has been hot and muggy. Luckily for us, it has cooled down to the 70s for a couple of days while we wait for the maintenance people to come install them. We are to the point now where we are working on the finishing details of the apartment-- hanging pictures and such, so I promise that pictures are coming.
