Morning walks

Because of Clara's sleeping schedule, we have been taking a ton of early morning walks.

Although I am usually so tired by the time 5 or 6 AM rolls around and it's light enough to go on a walk, these have become somewhat treasured times for me.  One morning several days ago in particular was just so wonderful.  It had been raining the night before and there were still droplets coating the plants and grass everywhere.  It was probably in the mid-60s.  I so enjoy Philadelphia this time of year.  Everything is so green.  The trees in our neighborhood form canopies over the streets.  Ivy, vines, grasses, and flowers seem to cover every surface.  I snapped this quick photo of one of the streets we were walking on.

See how green?  Not all of the mornings have been quite so pleasant.  We were close to 100 degrees a couple of days this week and it was already feeling pretty miserably hot and humid at 5 or 6 AM on those days.  I can't say I will be too disappointed when I get to be in my bed at that time if the baby's sleep schedule ever gets ironed out.  But for the time being, I will just enjoy that time hanging out with the baby.
